It is rare to find a Black IPA or Cascadian Dark Ale these days and it is even more rare to find a crossover between a Black IPA and a big New England IPA. Crossing the Streams in the Dark combines London Fog yeast with roasted dark malts to create a super fruit and hop forward Black IPA with a moderate bitterness built on a strong malt backbone.
Aromas of chocolate and coffee lean towards dried red fruits and then waves of mango. Fruitiness from the yeast enhances the dank, orange and grapefruit hop character, all playing together for a beer more IPA than black.
